Aprepitant is a neurokinin-1 (nk-1) receptor antagonist, which is an anticancer chemotherapy and vomiting treatment drug. It was developed by Merck in Germany and approved by the us food and drug administration in March 2003 for the treatment of chemotherapy and vomiting.This product has high selective affinity for human, but low affinity for 5 chemicalbook-serotonin, dopamine and cortical hormone receptors.The combination of aprepitant with a 5-ht3 receptor inhibitor (such as ondansetron hydrochloride) and the corticosteroid dexamethasone can further reduce cisplatin-induced acute and/or delayed vomiting.This drug alone has a preventive effect.
