Rocuronium, pancuronium, vecuronium, atracurium and piperocuronium are several non depolarizing muscle relaxants commonly used in clinic in China. Rocuronium has the fastest onset and can provide ideal muscle relaxant conditions within 60-90 seconds. The binding of non depolarizing muscle relaxants to motor end plate cholinergic receptors did not change the membrane potential of motor end plate, but hindered the binding of acetylcholine with receptors, resulting in muscle relaxation. Before the emergence of muscle relaxants, these drugs do not produce muscle twitch caused by muscle fiber bundle contraction as depolarizing muscle relaxants do. Rocuronium is a derivative of vecuronium with the same effect, but its strength is only 1 / 7 of its chemical book. Intubation can be performed within 60-90 seconds, and the effect lasts for 30-40 minutes. It has no obvious effect on autonomic nerve and cardiovascular system, but it can reduce intraocular pressure without histamine release and sympathetic ganglion block. It is often used for endotracheal intubation in clinic, and can also be used to maintain muscle relaxation in various operations. Intubation, single injection 0.6mg/kg, maintenance dose 0.15mg/kg.
