What is Nattokinase ?

Nattokinase is called subtilisin in the enzyme classification. According to the DNA sequence of nattokinase gene speculated the level of amino acid sequence, we know it is a single-chain polypeptide composed of 275 amino acid residues. The sequence of nattokinase contains eight lysine residues,which can be hydrolysated into 9 small peptides by endopeptidase. Nattokinase is homologous to those of other members of the subtilisin family: 99.5% homology with subtilisin E, 99.3% with subtilisin.
