What is Ascorbyl palmitate ?

Ascorbyl palmitate has the all physiological activity of vitamin C, it is a highly effective anti-oxidant and oxygen free radical scavenger, assessed by the Committee on Food Additives of the World Health Organization (WHO) as a nutrient, efficient, safety use of food additives; it is the only one that can be used for infant food antioxidants, it has a function that can play an effect of antioxidant, food (grease) color protection and strengthen the effectiveness of vitamin C.

1) As Food additives
Ascorbyl palmitate  is an ideal antioxidants; color fixative for the protection of natural pigments (such as chili red pigment, lycopene,carotene, lutein, etc.) easily oxidized; use as a fat-soluble antioxidant, with a good effect on soybean oil, cottonseed oil, palm oil, unsaturated fats and hydrogenated vegetable oils; dairy baby products, to prevent baby milk consumption from oxidation defeated; for fried products, it can prevent lipid rancidity to extend the shelf life (such as instant noodles,potato chips, fried fish, grilled meat, etc.)

2) As Drug care
Ascorbyl palmitate can protect the active ingredient for the drug, to prevent oxidation; for nutrition enhancer of Vc, it is without gastrointestinal irritation
